FOG Trader / Merchandiser
Universal Green Commodities specialize in the procurement, supplying, refining, distributing and transporting of various biofuel feedstock commodities and biodiesel. UGC is both a trusted agent, marketer and hands on physical trading company.UGC is currently seeking a unique and dynamic individual to join its team on the trading desk to handle our FOG book. (Fats, Oils & Greases)?QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrate excellent motivation for sales, negotiating and closing deals, and managing expectations of clients and customers.Must have STRONG outbound phone call salesmanship skills. 50-100 calls per day pacing.Tenured experience in orchestrating logistics with bulk freight preferably liquid commodities. Railcars shipping experience ++Present a professional image of conduct and attitude.Demonstrate excellent detail analytical and organizational skills.Demonstrate excellent problem-solving aptitude.Proficient in both verbal and written communications.Be semi-savvy with pre-built excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal skills and abilities.Prove a willingness to commit the additional time and effort necessary during periods of opportunity to develop and secure income generating purchase and sales relationships.Proven ability to provide and develop new business relationships and opportunities, fostering and maintaining the same, to the highest standard.?DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:This position requires the development and maintaining of new and lucrative purchase and sale opportunities with respect feedstock, biofuel and biofuel-related byproducts. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:Identify and develop new feedstock supplier relationships.Identify and develop new biodiesel sales relationships with biodiesel blenders and end users.Identify and develop new biofuel byproduct purchase and sales relationships.Research and develop new markets for UGC controlled commoditiesProvide logistical support to UGC operations for transport coordination associated with the purchase and sales of all related products.Build logistics infrastructure by qualifying and starting new relationships with transportation companies to haul various products.Maintain written and verbal communication with company principles regarding all relationships and opportunities.Obtain any necessary information and tools required for fulfilling opportunities from the office and principles of UGC.Notify and request any additional requirements necessary to perform responsibilities.Provide UGC with all background and contact information associated with developed business relationshipsEnsure all contracts are executed by and scheduled through the Office.Ensure all payment requests are approved & authorized through the Office.?IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:Verifiable and proven experience for a minimum of 2 years, successfully and profitably trading various fats and oils into the oleo-chemical, animal feed and/or biofuels markets.Experience trading commodities such as used cooking oil, yellow grease, brown grease, choice white grease, distiller corn oil, fatty acids, soybean oil, canola oil, biodiesel, vegetable oil by products, poultry & animal fats.A hunter mentality to process and fully capitalize on viable profitable opportunities.A working knowledge trucking and rail transportation markets and logistical aspects of transporting liquid commodities.Ability to work with minimum supervision and deliver consistent high impact results.Excellent relationship management skills with ability to multi task a wide range of customer service scenarios.Proven ability to successfully develop business on both the buy-side and sell-side of the trading business.Clear understanding of how to make very profitable trades within liquid commodities.An established network of potential suppliers and buyers and/or an established book of business that need financing and support.An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work well in a team environment and take direction.?OTHER DUTIES AND CONSIDERATIONS:Update and strengthen industry knowledge by participating in trade/industry seminars, trade shows and other educational opportunities.Maintain and enhance personal networks related to the role.Participate in professional organizationsExplore new and existing opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.?Candidate will have the ability to make 100K plus per year (NO CAP) commission structuring based on performance.
