NAS00236 – Food Safety And Quality Lead SupervisorPosition Purpose & SummaryThis position?s primary focus will be ensuring the facility?s food safety, regulatory, and quality programs and customer specifications are adhered to in order to produce food safe and quality products. A successful candidate must be a self-starter and able to manage and develop relationships with the operations, plant management, and contract sanitation teams. The position will be responsible for managing the FSQR supervisor. This is primarily a day shift position (approximately 7 a.m. ? 5 p.m.), but the candidate must be flexible to work on 2nd or 3rd shift as needed and weekends.
?Principal Accountabilities50% Food Safety and Quality Systems Management ?Verification and/or maintenance of HACCP, SSOP, prerequisite programs, manufacturing processes, plant environment, and finished product. Collaborate with operations on the initiation of corrective action and preventative measures when necessary. Ensures adherence to corporate, regulatory, customer and facility food safety and quality requirements. Participation and preparation for plant tours and audits. Daily review and filing of FSQR paperwork, micro and chemistry result monitoring, and HACCP pre-shipment reviews. Tracking and trending KPIs associated with quality control points, pre-operational inspection, and sanitation activities.? Environmental monitoring and corrective action facilitation and verification.
40% Stakeholder Development and Supervision ? Oversees the FSQR technicians and ensures that the department is properly scheduled, staffed and trained to handle the daily needs. Coaching and developing the FSQR technicians to build a talent within the department. Deliver disciplinary or performance discussions with stakeholders. Ensuring that all stakeholders are working safely.
