Food Service Class 2
SUMMARY: Hourly food service TEAM members are responsible for the successful daily operations of our cafeteria and catering departments. Food service class 2 TEAM members may be required to work in one or more of the following capacities: Preparation, presentation and serving of food and beverages to our guests; Operation of point of sale system and guest checkout, currency handling, cash balancing, change requisitions, daily sales reports; Receiving, handling and rotation of goods and inventory; Guest relations, customer service, food action stations; Equipment care, routine and daily cleaning duties as assigned. Other duties, as assigned:REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year professional work experience in a foodservice or hospitality role; and/or currently enrolled in, or a graduate of a culinary, hospitality, foodservice or related field of study in a continuing education institution.Computer Skills: Illustrates a level of computer skills that would allow operation of point of sale system (register).Communication Skills: Effective use of verbal communication skills that would allow active participation in our guest relations and overall customer satisfaction, and the ability to interact with all level of Tyson Foods TEAM members. Ability to read, comprehend, expand and reduce standard kitchen recipes.Specific Skills: Basic math skills, basic understanding of measurements & currency. Understands established food safety practices and follows directions to ensure food safety. Ability to recognize and report when actions may be needed to ensure proper food handling. Open to learning new skillsets or participating in more than a single job function. Open to building on culinary techniques and proficiencies within our operation. Ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50lbs, bend, twist, stoop and reach frequently for the duration of shift, as well as walk or stand for 8 hours on hard surfaces. Ability to withstand routine and repetitive work for the duration of shift. Ability to tolerate hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time, while performing job functions. Ability to work safely and unrestricted with kitchen tools and equipment. Ability to work effectively as part of a TEAM. Strong time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of basic culinary and kitchen terminology is preferred.
