MAIN FUNCTION: This individual will report to the Senior Strategic Support Manager III, and this is an intermediate level position which is part of the Customer Care team.
The position, acting as part of the team, will be accountable for the gathering, refinement, and analysis of forecast data from customers, account managers, and other sources. The position will use critical thinking, data analytics, and other strategies to provide insights as well as a comprehensive picture of expected demand and business requirements. As an intermediate member of the Customer Care team, this individual requires a higher level of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and understanding of customer behavior than an entry level position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
Maintain the operational forecast and support the consolidation of customer provided forecast dataCompile and analyze data on historical sales, as well as other relevant inputs (new product launches, lost business, etc.) both for business planning activities and for management reviewProvide monthly detail on actual vs. forecast variances and document assumptions used to maintain forecastHelp develop business case opportunities on strategic raw material, intermediate, and finished product positionsDevelop a proficient understanding of all information systems and processes connected to the supply chain value chain Create reports, presentations, and dashboards as necessary for business execution and improvement Assist in the maintenance of databases and other supply chain data sources

Four (4) year University degree in mathematics, data science, business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), or related field or a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant forecasting experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience interfacing with many aspects of the business.Experience in working with integrated ERP systems (MAPICS preferred).
Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel) applications experience required.Must be proficient at understanding basic statistical methods and have strong problem-solving skills.Must be organized with a focus on detail and quality, with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and be able to effectively spot trends and shifts.Must demonstrate ability to multi-task work, prioritizing workload in a fast changing environment in order to meet commitments.Relocation assistance is available with this position.
