Details: The Arabic-Iraqi Speaking Role Player provides acting services for the U.S. Air Force during regularly scheduled training exercises at Ft. Bliss, as well as other training locations, as needed. This is a full-time position that supports the U.S. Military through roleplaying, cultural awareness training and language translation services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken. Translates verbal communication from one language to verbal communication of another language ( i.e., Arabic-Iraqi to English and vice versa). Realistically, accurately and convincingly portrays the native or fluent (Arabic-Iraqi) language, culture and roles in a variety of scenarios. This includes diversified settings and environments, to include practical, situational and field training exercises. Memorizes critical data contained in each role and scenario. Portrays assigned role with little reliance on or referral to the role / script. Ensures familiarity with each role. Speaks in the foreign language while acting out scenario-based roles. Does not adlib or provide information to students that is not outlined in the assigned, developed role. Conveys information and data in response to student’s correct and proper interview skills, questioning and/or elicitation techniques. Engages in physical contact if / when specified as part of role-playing during training scenarios. Participates in urban / mounted operations training, which may include dramatizations that emulate being fired upon through the use of blank-firing weapons or dye-marking cartridges ( i.e., SIM-FX, ultimate training marker (UTM), paintball, etc.). Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must be able to speak and write Basic English and have a strong fluency in Arabic-Iraqi language. This includes the ability to understand, read and speak Arabic-Iraqi at the 12 th grade level. Fluency in other Middle Eastern languages is valued. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Excellent physical condition with ability to carry up to 60 pounds of equipment Ability to perform Role Player duties in an austere environment with limited infrastructure ( e., running water, power, HVAC, etc.) Ability to operate government owned or rented vehicles ( g., HMMWV, Pick-up trucks, Vans, etc.) MATHMETICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English as well as Arabic-Iraqi. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Must be a U.S. born or naturalized citizen due to government or federal requirement Ability to obtain a secret security clearance Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport U.S. Driver’s License PI92367602
