FSQA Technician 5
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: 6 months of work history with one employer in the last 24 months. Experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Physical Requirements: Must be able and willing to stand/walk 8 to 12 hours a day on hard floor. Must be able and willing to crouch, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally crawl. Must be able and willing to repetitively lift (occasionally overhead), push, pull, and carry 60 pounds individually and more with assistance. Must be able and willing to repetitively grasp, reach, pinch, and hold small, medium, and large sized objects repetitively. Must be able and willing to work in cold and/or hot, humid, wet, environments.
