As the Fungicide Technical Product Lead, you
will thoroughly profile active ingredients and brands for utility and
competitive advantages. You will provide brand training and/or materials for
training to internal/external customers as well as Brand Mgmt support through
designing brands that have technical integrity in performance, positioning and
sustainability. In this role you will demonstrate your knowledge and
understanding of fungicides by setting active ingredient and brand development
priorities. Additionally you will manage the development budget and projects
for timely delivery.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Technically steward brands across product life
cycleInterface with other technical groups (TCM, Field
Biology, Professional Products, Research &Technology)Develop protocols
and scientific studies for thorough profiling of brands (including
resistance management), product segmentation, and competitive comparisonsDevelop training materials (with TCMs) for
internal/external customersGlobal
interface for exchange of technical info and strategiesInsure all brand strategies, business cases,
positioning, claims, labels, and communications are supported by good
scienceManage
Grant-in-Aid fundsCommunicate brand
objectives across other groups (Biology, Research &Technology and
Technical Services)Provide technical
guidance, support, and evaluation of 3rd party AIs Provide technical
guidance and determine technical options for post patent strategiesMaintain up-to-date understanding of leading
technologies with scientific discipline & participate in scientific
societiesMonitor and beat the competitionContinue to support
ongoing activities with no loss of productivity or delays in timelinesSkills:
Education &
Experience:
Masters Degree in
Agronomy or relevant principlePh.D. is highly
desirableA minimum of 5
years of experience in product developmentBasic knowledge in plant pathology; or good working knowledge/experience
in agronomy/plant sciences/biotechnologyUnderstanding of key
agronomic factors in specialty crops, especially vegetables, citrus, potatoes,
tree nuts, and pome fruit.Broad knowledge of
product development process, protocol writing, information systems, and
regulatory requirementsAdditional Knowledge,
Skills, Traits & Abilities:
Keen understanding
of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, competitive environment and customer
needsAbility to
integrate various management practices together – incorporating
fungicides, seed care, etc. with PGRs Strong project
management skills; ability to manage multiple tasksExceptional oral,
written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to analyze data
and interpret for decision making, identifying opportunities, and supporting
communicationsDemonstrated
ability to think and act creatively and strategicallyDemonstrated
successful project leadership and team work Ability to
effectively interact across functional groups to achieve desired resultsKnowledge of brand
