Cargill?Beef in Columbia, SC has an exciting opportunity for an?Operations General Foreman.? This position is responsible for assisting the plant manager in managing all area of plant operations.? This role will have direct responsibility and be held accountable to meet and exceed standards in all key result areas of operations to include but not limited to:?safety, yields, quality,?vsm,?labor, and engagement.Principle Accountabilities:
35%- Review, monitor and follow up on area results. This includes managing department costs to remain within budget guidelines.
25% – Day-to-day supervision, engagement?and development of department employees (developing relationships, coaching, training,?etc.).
20%- Maintain customer relations by ensuring product quality specifications are met. Interface with customers on plant visits and audits.
10% – Process optimization.
5% – Manage and ensure compliance and improvement in the areas of safety, food safety, and environmental.
5%- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.Skills:
Minimum of?five years supervisory experience.
Basic knowledge of Food Safety, Cargill Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Demonstrated skills of team building, conflict resolution, innovation and change within the work force.
Effective communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills at multiple levels of Cargill and customer organizations.Preferred:
Four year related college degree
Three years of supervisory experience in a case-ready environment?
