Reporting to the Vp of Operations for Phosphate, the General Manager, Upgrade Products, is accountable for maximizing the safety and profitability of the company's Upgrade PRoducts facilities through effective and efficient managment of all assets and resources available to him/her.What you will do: Lead the development, co-ordination, and implementation of Upgrade Products' strategic plans and aligning those plans with the overall Company strategy to ensure long term profitability and growthEnsure Upgrade Products work efficiently and effectively together to maximize production, service and quality objectivesMonitor costs and property performance for the purpose of providing direction to ensure optimum utilization of Financial and Human ResourcesImprove performance and assure management and technical succession by acquiring, developing and motivating supervisory and technical staffProvide continuity of operations by ensuring viable long term plans are in placeProvide direction for the development and implementation of organizational change and suitable operational and maintenance control systems and procedures to ensure ongoing competitiveness of the operationEnsure the safety of employees by developing a positive safety culture throughout operations, and ensuring leading edge safety programs are in placeEnsure the environmental compliance and appropriate environmental stewardship of all facilities Establish and maintain productive community, industry and political relations which enhance the Company's ability to grow and prosperPrepare and steward the annual operating and capital budgets for Upgrade Products in order to provide management guidelines and goals, and contribute to the Nitrogen and Phosphate financial planProvide overall leadership and support through coaching and participation, utilizing every opportunity to demonstrate adherence to the company's Core Values and Engagement PrinciplesWhat you will bring: Undergraduate degree in Engineering (mining, mechanical or chemical) and/or Business Management degree15 years directly related experience working in a mining and/or chemical processing facility5 years of related managerial experience, preferabley at the general manager level or at a minimum plant manager or plant superintendentexperience dealing with government agencies and labor force issues would be an assetstrong communication skills are required Are you a good match?
