The global analyticsteam is a cutting edge group that analyzes big data to developpredictive/prescriptive models to accelerate Monsanto???s product development. Aspart of our diverse, highly dynamic group, you will be driving big datachallenges and will lead a team of exceptional data scientists with diversebackgrounds (Mathematicians, Statisticians and Engineers) to foster your careergrowth and development while delivering next-generation scientificbreakthroughs. You will provide strategic technical and project leadershipin a fast paced R&D team environment to accelerate our efforts on buildinga data-driven product pipelineResponsibilities:Lead a team of statistical geneticists and data
scientists, set strategy, and manage projects in genomic prediction
modeling.People and technical leadership with focus on creating
team environment for individuals to develop and succeedLead innovation using latest advances in machine
learning, predictive analytics and optimization algorithms. Identify and
drive the development and deployment of new methodologies globally, to
accelerate our pipeline and product development efforts.Lead development and presentation of compelling,
validated stories to all levels of organization, including peers, senior
management and internal customers to drive both strategic and operational
changes in businessDevelop strong and successful collaborations among
various Monsanto R&D teamsQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:PhD in Animal or Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics,
Statistical Genetics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field. 3+ years experience in team leadership and people
management. 3+ years experience in genomic prediction
modeling and in statistical programming packages like R, MATLAB and
Python.Proficiency in machine learning algorithms and complex
linear mixed models (GBLUP, Bayesian Genome-wide Regression, Ensembles,
Deep Learning, etc.).Creative, proactive, bold and out-of-box thinking.Proven ability to communicate complex qualitative
analysis in clear, precise and actionable mannerStrong organizational, interpersonal, and proven
problem solving abilities required to negotiate scope/resources, manage,
and project status, and synchronize activities with team members,
stakeholders, and management.Ability to work in a matrix environment, leading &
