You will provide strategic technical and project leadershipin a fast paced R&D team environment to accelerate our efforts on buildinga data-driven product pipelineMajor Responsibilities:Lead a team ofstatistical geneticists and data scientists, set strategy, and manage projectsin genomic prediction modeling.People and technicalleadership with focus on creating team environment for individuals to developand succeedLead innovation usinglatest advances in machine learning, predictive analytics and optimizationalgorithms. Identify and drive the development and deployment of newmethodologies globally, to accelerate our pipeline and product developmentefforts.Lead development andpresentation of compelling, validated stories to all levels of organization,including peers, senior management and internal customers to drive bothstrategic and operational changes in businessDevelop strong andsuccessful collaborations among various Monsanto R&D teamsQualifications:Requirements:PhD in Animal or Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Statistical Genetics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field. 3+ years experience in team leadership and people management. 3+ years experience in genomic prediction modeling and in statistical programming packages like R, MATLAB and Python.Proficiency in machine learning algorithms and complex linear mixed models (GBLUP, Bayesian Genome-wide Regression, Ensembles, Deep Learning, etc.).Creative, proactive, bold and out-of-box thinking.Proven ability to communicate complex qualitative analysis in clear, precise and actionable mannerStrong organizational, interpersonal, and proven problem solving abilities required to negotiate scope/resources, manage, and project status, and synchronize activities with team members, stakeholders, and management.Ability to work in a matrix environment, leading & influencing people at varying levels of responsibilityApply for this job.
