Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Global Account Manager – North America (1805849) – Iselin, NJ Where the Chemistry Happens The BASF Refining, Salts & Solutions business is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing individual like you with entrepreneurial drive and the ability to communicate effectively to join our team as the Global Account Manager.  Demonstrating your global experience in Sales, Trading or Product Management, you will close new, profitable business in a challenging, dynamic market for the AutoCat, ChemCat, Salts & Solutions segments of the business.  This role is seen as an ideal opportunity for an individual to demonstrate their ability to develop and implement business strategies in a highly diverse and challenging global business. Our customers are our most important aspect of the business.  Being a member of the CCM/R Commercial team, our goal is to work together internally with a cross functional team to ensure our customers have an excellent experience on a consistent basis and swiftly resolve any issues that may arise.   In addition, you will focus on driving profitable growth to meet clearly defined strategic business goals.  This role will require you to travel 50%+ of the time.Formula for Success Leveraging your education (Business field preferred), relevant work experience and proven track record of being a high achiever in a Global sales, Trading, Global Product Management or other relevant field with Global experience, you will own responsibility for the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.  This includes implementing strategic account-specific plans for identified customers for each business.  This will be accomplished by conducting strategic account planning with financial (Business Margin)/volume targets and critical milestones.Your ability to influence others and outstanding verbal and written communication skills will be essential as you influence decision-makers in a complex environment within BASF on all levels, and drive actions/decisions – even without disciplinary responsibility.Successfully engaging across the organization, you will coordinate with all internal stakeholders in order to properly onboard and ensure the account meets forecast objectives and customers’ overall satisfaction. Additionally, you will act as the regional liaison with CCM/R Customer Service, Product Management, Trading, Operations, and other cross functional team members to further develop the customer experience and expand new business offerings for CCM/R.Utilizing your business segment application knowledge and thorough knowledge of the entire customer and market value chain, you will anticipate market trends.Demonstrating your strong business acumen, you will be accountable and responsible for pricing (execution) and financials for the assigned account.Your proven ability to identify, internally drive business opportunities and develop winning strategies that deliver commercial results within a diverse, challenging and competitive business climate will be a valued asset as you collect customer demand and translate it into an accurate forecast.Acting as a market intelligence gatherer, you will collect information from industry events, customers, etc., share with appropriate members of the organization, and document market changes using the established market map document.Your robust problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems while working well on a results-driven team, will aid you in understanding market trends and unmet customer needs, applying this knowledge to new NBO targets.Generating timely call reports using the new CRM tool, you will provide weekly high/low lights as well as key customer and market intelligence, lead documentation, and sales funnel (NBO) maintenance. Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Adding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
