The Global Finance Organization is searching for a Global Accounting Manager for North America and Latin America North (NALAN) to join our global headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities include:Responsible for ensuring the monthly closing process is completed timely, accurately, and to service level agreement expectations: Lead Shared Services Center (???SSC???) team to complete the monthly closing activities accurately and timelyPerform necessary month-end closing activitiesManage US GAAP statements & serve as key focal point in assisting to ensure proper local GAAP reportingFacilitate local accounting entries & related ledger activities to ensure proper reportingFacilitate quarterly Balance Sheet Analysis (BSA) and Financial Statement Review (FSR) Manage SEC and other disclosures, tax issues, etc.Ensure proper customer support is provided to the local  finance team:Focus on building/maintaining relationships with key contactsAct as owners for areas of responsibilitiesDeliver to all service level agreement expectations Ensure trust & confidence in the service provided by the SSCSupport internal & external audit process:Facilitate completion of audit requirements, providing all necessary support in the audit window mandatedResolve any audit comments, ensuring resolution & any action items are takenLead effort in to ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and in accordance with the BSR Quality Standards:Ensure all reconciliations for region COE are prepared monthlyPartner with local Controllership team to ensure that the reconciliations completed for accounts comply with Balance Sheet Quality Standards and meet the expectations of the local Controllership team.Provide guidance and direction to team members as necessary regarding USGAAPPeople management responsibility for team members People leader responsible for goal setting, people development, annual DPC and overall career development for full time employeesMember of the General Accounting SSC leadership teamRepresent the financial statements to management during annual Balance Sheet reviews Lead team to own the balances of each account and ensure all team members are prepared to present balances and explanations to Corporate ControllerMain contact for region for annual BSR Lead the coordination of the information, practice sessions and actual reviewServe as key focal point for any ad hoc requestsLead direct team members to seek out process improvements and efficiencies in work performed while driving consistency across the SSCQualifications:Required skills/experience:Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance8+ years of experience and a minimum of 2+ years as a people leaderAdvance knowledge of US GAAP along with desire to conduct appropriate research on topics including but not limited to accounting for:Business combinationsVariable interest entitiesDerivative instruments and hedging activitiesCustomer financing programsPension and other post-retirement benefitsRevenue recognition Familiar with financial statements, general closing procedures and internal controlsProven ability to identify process inefficiencies, offer recommendation for improvements and implement solutions.Candidate must be self-directed, organized and resourceful. Desired skills/experience:Ability to understand the “big picture” of topics, but also maintain focus on detailsAbility to work with diverse team located in another countryComfortable reaching out to various members of finance teams to solve issuesCPA certification SAP  experienceFluency in Spanish
