Global Category Lead: Travel, Fleet and Meetings

The Global Category Lead will work to consolidate and simplify the supply base in all categories and implement both global and regional programs to hold suppliers accountable for quality delivery and in some cases increased responsibilities for operations.
Strategies will include working with OEMs, Fleet Management companies, Travel Agencies and Facility Management companies to ensure all commercial needs are met with quality and cost effective programs. Key measures will include savings delivery, impact upon budget and supplier performance.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Execute regional category strategies for Fleet, Travel, Meetings ( Meetings for outside of the US) * Develop strategic policies and programs for corporate travel * Handle and oversee all travel arrangements (air, lodgings etc.) and operations * Manage relationships with travel agencies and vendors * Negotiate contracts or rates with travel and feet service providers * Provide advice on travel documents, insurance, import/export regulations etc. * Escalate issues with credit card programs and charges * Ensure compliance in all aspects of travel procedures * Drive continuous improvement of travel programs * Understand and monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges. * Guide the selection, development, and management of strategic suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals * Develop, implement and manage proposal activities; lead negotiation and completion of contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits across Zoetis. * Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and category team members. * Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews, monitoring and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans. * Implement corporate & regional initiatives to meet desired business goals/objectives * Establish, implement, report and socialize on specific, actionable, measurable, achievable, time specific goals and objectives and related performanceORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: * Directly reports to the Senior Director of Indirect Procurement * Strong working relationship with the Cluster Leads, Head of Strategic Procurement and Indirect Procurement * Effective working relationship with commercial internal sites, Logistics hubs and key suppliers * Interfaces: Commercial sites, Indirect and Site Procurement Teams, Site Technology, all levels of Supplier”s Functional Leadership, and various Zoetis Leadership positions, as necessary FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: * Strategic Sourcing management of approximately US $30 million in annual spend travel spend and * Supports key stakeholders (Cluster Leads, HR, Zoetis Executive Memebers) through the annual budgeting cycle in addressing the impact on their Indirect spend. * Geographic scope: Global EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor”s Degree required.
* Experience sourcing and operations of Fleet, Travel * Deep expertise in Airline contracts, car leasing contracts, hotel providers and Travel Management Companies * Experience of performing Strategic Sourcing roles from spend analysis to category strategy creation and procurement category management * Ability to work with management located in other countries and/or time zones * Demonstrable track record of performance in managing complex, cross-functional activities.
