Global Inclusion & Diversity Talent Segment Strategist
Position Purpose & SummaryThe Global Inclusion and Diversity Talent Segment Strategist is responsible for driving Cargill’s global approach to addressing the recruitment, retention, employee experiences and advancement of top talent within the specific underrepresented talent groups; helping the organization to make progress towards identified goals and priorities. The strategist will also provide oversight to key external commitments, like Paradigm for Parity, and provide businesses/ functions with information gleaned from relevant research and data to achieve those commitments. In addition, the strategist will synthesize the strategy and Cargill’s progress in a concise and easy-to-communicate way that seamlessly translates into action. They will make recommendations to policy changes and other opportunities to consistently reflect the environment where diverse talent can thrive.Principal Accountabilities50% Identify and design a differentiated talent segment approaches to help achieve business objectives. Using fact-based analysis to spot trends, issues and shifts to understand Cargill’s current state and competitive advantage which will inform the design, activation and communication of differentiated strategies.Design recommendations for a range of initiatives while challenging key partners to think beyond current solutions including onboarding, compensation and development. Build the inclusion and diversity strategic muscle of teams and help build capabilities while delivering on special projects focused on the talent segment.Develop an understanding of the client’s business environment and approach to helping Cargill achieve the talent segment goals.Conduct research, stakeholder interviews and brainstorming sessions to understand the current state for a specific talent segment and continuously monitor progress.Partner with external vendors and consulting groups to report Cargill’s progress and benchmark.Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities.Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and companies that are changing and impacting the employee life cycle for a specific talent segment.Examine teams to get to know their culture and customize the approach to fit their needs. Generate original ideas in partnership with other members of the team and the business.Identifying potential retention or engagement problems and devising ways to mitigate themLias with key partners to receive feedback and create improvements to strategies.External benchmarking to identify best in class approaches to support the different talent segments35% Actively Communicate, Collaborate and Partner with Global Business and HR StakeholdersCreate a communication plan to keep diverse audiences within the organization and externally updated on Cargill’s progress for each talent segment.Assemble strategic insights into presentation materials for internal and external audiences.Act as an internal resource, championing and storyteller whenever possible. Lead consult and coach leaders on inclusion, diversity and experiences for specific talent segments.
