Global OEM Business Development Manager
Topcon Agriculture, a division of the Topcon Positioning Group, provides advanced IoT connected field and farm management solutions for aftermarket and OEM customers in the agriculture industry, integrating high-precision hardware, software, and data to bring efficiency and enhance productivity to every phase of the farming operations. Supports and promotes sales growth with key Global OEM customers. *** Ideal location for this position is Livermore, CA or Fort Atkinson, WI but a remote location is also available. ResponsibilitiesThe Business Development Manager for Global OEMs is responsible for supporting and executing the sales growth strategy for global OEMs. The focus is to maintain and grow superior relationships with existing and potential OEM customers. This position will be responsible for working with customers as well as a number of internal departments to maximize sales potential and grow revenue targets. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:1. Develops and maintains relationships with existing and potential OEM customers with the goal of growing Topcon’s presence and reputation.2. Develops and implements annual marketing and sales plans.3. Represents Topcon at trade association meetings, tradeshows, and other industry events to promote the company and its products.4. Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for his/her customers; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products while analyzing trends and results.5. Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.6. Reviews and negotiates contracts and other legal agreements.7. Works closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other departments internally to build processes and tools in order to provide the best possible customer experience.8. Successfully manages sales staff and sales operations staff.9. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, engineering, or related field.2. Five plus years of related experience.3. Detail oriented. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.4. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organization.5. Must be able to develop and manipulate data as required for reports, presentations, etc.6. Negotiation skills and ability to comprehend legal contracts.7. Strong time management and organizational skills.8. Knowledge of agricultural machinery/precision agriculture or a related field.9. Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.10.
