Global Procurement Category Lead
DescriptionCorteva Agriscience, the Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, is seeking a Global Procurement Category Lead located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Global responsibility and accountability for the Manufacturing Operations (MRO, R&D, Mobile and Material Handling Equipment & Supplies) procurement strategy development and execution in support of the Agricultural Division of DowDupont. Total spend, globally, will be approximately $400M annually. Key responsibilities: In collaboration with Global Procurement Category Leaders within the MRO, Facilities and Capital Spend Tower, develop and deploy global sourcing/procurement strategies for the Manufacturing, R&D and Operations Category to achieve maximum value at the lowest total cost. Provide leadership, direction and support for the global category team, inclusive of all regions, in creating and executing global category sourcing strategies/playbooks. Provide leadership for category/sub-category direction, go-to-market strategies, supplier selection decisions, contract negotiation approaches, project portfolio implementation/execution, risk management and supplier performance on a global basis. Develop relationships with senior executives from key suppliers and engage them in strategic supplier management for value creation and innovation. Participate as a full partner on related manufacturing, R&D and operations leadership teams to develop strategies that deliver performance, value and growth aligned with business, function and regional objectives. Drive process and policy simplification, governance and compliance. Support the development of a strong team of Procurement Category Managers and Procurement Specialists/Buyers that are engaged and business-focused to deliver on overall objectives. Become a continuous learner, and coach to the team, on the use of sourcing, category management, P2P, enablement/systems, market intelligence, risk mitigation and category/supplier performance management best practices. Develop team competencies with targeted development plans for all direct reports. Set high standards for the organization for ethics, professionalism and compliance to all internal controls. QualificationsPreferred Experience: BA/BS Degree with preferred focus on supply chain, operations or engineering Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Certification Lean Six Sigma Certification 10+ Years Global MRO, Operations, and/or Research & Development and related Sourcing & Category Management experience in large, global multi-business organization Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and Business Intelligence SystemsApply for this job.
