Global Project Controls Leader
DescriptionCorteva Agriscience, agriculture division of DowDupont is seeking to fill a Global Project Controls Leader position at our Indianapolis, IN location. The position can also be based in Johnston Iowa or Midland Michigan. The Project Controls Leader owns, improves, and leverages the competencies of cost, schedule, and risk management for the company, and ensures trained and qualified resources are available to meet the needs of the global capital plan. Primary Responsibilities: Accountable to ensure Corteva Project Controls strategies (tools, resourcing, competency curricula and work processes) meet the current and future needs of the Corteva capital plan.Provides coaching and performance management for all resources in the Project Controls group.Ensure training plans and processes are in place to ensure appropriate competency of the Project Controls team. Accountable for the Project Controls interface with business and engineering personnel to help develop early estimates and schedules and to quantify risks to projects.Defines and enforces adherence to Best Practices for the Project Controls function globally.Ensures early Front-end Loading (FEL) schedules and estimates meet the business needs; Provide early input to the Project Execution Strategy on costs and timing for large capital projects.Owns the project metrics tracking, reporting and analysis systems globallyProvides and maintains internal benchmarks, while monitoring external benchmarks/metrics, for capital and non-capital related activities to effectively gauge scheduling and cost estimate performance/competitiveness and promote continuous improvement.Develop, maintain, and improve systems for tracking cost and schedules of approved and active projects, providing real time progress reports on spending and schedule to Project Managers from authorization to project closure.Develop, maintain, and improve systems for determining project Risks and the management of these risks through the lifecycle of the project.Provide oversight and/or validation requirements for EPCm-executed projects. Assigns resources as necessary to ensure EPCm schedules and estimates are credible and understood by project management. Qualifications 5 to 10 years experience in Project Execution, depending on the type of experience and project size.B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, or equivalent.PMP certification is an advantage.AACE certification is an advantage.Leader level functional and behavioral competenciesExpert in Capital Execution Work ProcessesExpert at communication and conflict management with C-suite levelSubject Matter Expert status in cost, schedule, estimating, and risk management.Experienced global people leaderBroad knowledge in EPCM work process and oversight of projects.Broad knowledge of the engineering disciplines that are required for detailed design.Apply for this job.
