Global Seed Production Services Business Analyst – #01FW3
Monsanto Global Supply Chain Procurement is looking for a Global Seed Production Services Business Analyst to be responsible for providing analytical support for the development and implementation of short, mid, and long term strategies designed to optimize Monsanto???s Global Row Crops, Vegetable, and Technology Seed Production Services (SPS) requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with Global and Regional Hub SPS Procurement Category teams and key internal stakeholders to enhance and harmonize the sourcing process for Grower Agreement requirements including isolation, rotation, land preparation, input application, field labor (rouguing, detasseling, male removal), harvesting, and freight in conjunction with regional Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Treasury, and Legal teams. Key objectives within this role include analyzing stakeholder business requirements and current market trends within the Seed Production category to support development and implementation of sourcing tools which fully leverage Monsanto???s scale, scope, and seed footprint, delivering year-over-year productivity improvements in TCO, and mitigating risks/managing volatility while maintaining or improving seed supply product quality, value, service levels, and existing supplier relationships. This position will be responsible for supporting $2 Billion in annual spend and will report directly to the Global Procurement Seed Production Services Lead with matrix reporting to the Global Seed Production Services Category Manager. This role is located in St. Louis, MO. Key Responsibilities:Own and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and SPS category team members to facilitate implementation of strategies to gather, review, and analyze data requirements.Analyze data quickly to ascertain action plans and make recommendations based on opportunity prioritization.Conduct cost/benefit analysis and business case development.Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups of optimization projects for review/consideration.Implement approved optimization projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor progress and performance of implemented projects against defined objectives and adjust accordingly.Track and communicate key insights and findings to leadership and internal stakeholders.Work closely with Global and Regional Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Treasury, Legal and Procurement colleagues to mitigate risks and manage volatility related to Seed Production Services requirements. Ensure organizational coordination and alignment of supplier sourcing strategies (with Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Treasury, Legal, etc.).Contribute to a global cost savings goal of $1 billion dollars to be delivered by 2020.Track forecasted vs actual savings for the Seed Production Services area and be responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impact.Collaboratively manage supplier development/relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet quality, service and price performance standards of the company.Drive improvement of procurement efficiency and effectiveness throughout Monsanto.Understand market aspects of assigned categories on a regional basis.
