Global Strategy & Business Development Leader
As a member of the Industrial Biosciences Leadership Team, the Global Strategy & Business Development Leader will report to the Business President, Industrial Biosciences and be located at our Wilmington, Delaware office. In this role, you will partner with the Business President to lead the full scope of business and strategic development processes. This will include the management of the Strategic Planning Process for the Industrial Biosciences organization, in alignment with the overall broader organizational process. This role will manage the overall IB Strategic Planning Process, conduct strategic analysis and develop and implement the mergers & acquisitions process. This will include working with business leaders and corporate functions on M&A target identification and prioritization, in alignment with the IB growth strategy. The role will also provide leadership in the overall due diligence process associated with M&A activities. This position and the direct reports to the role will provide analytical support to the overall Operating Plan development and support special projects as requested by the Business President. The Global Strategy team that you will lead is responsible for acquiring competitive intelligence and corresponding analysis. As a Global Strategy Leader you will interface closely with the business leaders of our respective portfolios, functional leaders within the business leadership team and 3-5 direct reports to the position. In the role, you will also manage the US advocacy and government affairs processes in alignment with the overall business strategy and represent the business as appropriate externally. Responsibilities Include:Manage the overall strategic planning and development process for the IB portfolio. This will involve collaboration with the Business President, global business leaders, functional leaders and members of the corporate leadership team. Lead the Competitive Intelligence and Market Insights for the business; includes monitoring and assess trends for competitive market opportunities focused on both existing and new portfolio opportunities. Provide ongoing education opportunities and best practices in this area to broaden the knowledge base of business leaders.Work closely with the Business President to provide analysis and recommendations on key business decisions impacting the overall business portfolioProvide leadership to a team that is focused on providing ongoing competitive and strategic analysis and sharing best practices with business leadersLead the overall M&A processes for the business and prepare acquisition analysis for business leaders in the organization.
