?COMPANY: Prairie Central CooperativeHIRING MANAGER: Mark HeilLOCATION: Chenoa, IL??Position Responsibilities?Responsibilities include supervision of employees, safety and maintenance, grain handling, grain management, reporting, customer service and other duties as assigned by the operations manager or management.?The elevator manager will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within and a favorable image of the cooperative.??Supervision of Employees?Supervision involves communicating to other employees at the elevator location, the work to be completed, delegating the workload and upholding cooperative policies??Safety and Maintenance?Observe and enforce Prairie Central Coop, OSHA, state and federal safety policies and regulationsMaintain clean and neat facilitiesMaintain equipment regularlyMaintain housekeeping and sanitation standardsMake recommendations on replacement, additions, or deletions of facilities and equipment when needed and/or economically justifiedCheck all areas for fire or safety hazardsKeep fire extinguishers fully charged and in designated places at all times??Grain Handling?Coordinate receiving, sampling, and gradingEnsure employees are properly qualified to sample and grade grainOpen all facilities at scheduled timesInspect truck scales and testing equipment for accuracy??Grain Management?Assure proper grain storage and conditionProperly bin grain according to grade and moisture to maintain the highest quality possibleMaintain up-to-date bin charts including showing type, grade, and quantity of grain stored in each binCheck condition of stored grain regularlyAssure proper aeration of each binCheck and record grain temperatures as needed?Operate grain dryersOperate grain dryer in a safe and efficient manner by following manufactures, company, industry practicesRecord quality of grain and moisture before and after dryer operation?Blend grain for proper loadingBlend grain for load out to obtain the highest grade and price while minimizing discounts 2. Prepare and load railcars and grain trucks in approved manner of quality and weights??Reporting?Manlift Inspection-MonthlyHousekeeping-WeeklyBuilding and Equipment-YearlyGrain Inventory Report-MonthlyOther reports as needed and requested??Customer Service?Greet customers promptly and courteouslyAssist customers with unloading and loadingAnswer all phone calls promptly and courteouslyWork with customers to resolve problems and report complaintsActively work to develop personal skills and knowledgeAttend safety, merchandising, industry and cooperative meetings as requested?Required Qualifications?High School diploma or GEDBe willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.? Frequently exposed to dust and high noise levels.Must be able to climb and work at heights, enter confined spaces, and ability to lift 50?poundsMust have and maintain a valid driver?s licenseStrong communication and customer service skillsMust be able to work hours beyond those considered normalApply for this job.
