?Evergreen FS is farmer-owned?cooperative serving the needs of customers in McLean, Woodford, Livingston, Dewitt and Macon counties. Providing a full range of farm supplies and services including agronomy, seed, fertilizer, fuel, structures, custom turf, financing, marketing advice and products. Specializing in the production of corn and soybeans and operate several grain elevators as part of our operations. Evergreen FS is a member of the GROWMARK system.??PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Responsible for physical grain handling, facility operations, and the purchase and settlements of cash grain contracts. Oversees proper record keeping and day-to-day elevator operations at assigned location.???SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Supervises grain accountant specialist, grain operator and seasonal/temporary employees.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Conducts day-to-day grain purchases and settlements.?Accounts for numerical sequence of all pre-numbered documents, performs calculations of patron accounts, posts & files documents.?Keeps WHR records up-to-date and reconciles daily position records.?Buys and makes grain settlements based on grain market action.?Assists in month-end financial statements and self-inventory of grain.?Responsible for accurate profit/loss information.?Responsible for quality and condition of all grain in facility.?Performs periodic inspections of all elevator equipment to identify problem areas.?Responsible for implementation of required safety procedures and training employees concerning company and government standards.?Maintains proper housekeeping practices according to safety guidelines. ??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Supports marketing efforts of other areas in the company.?Performs all other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires a Bachelor?s degree, high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 5-7 years or more of grain related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of grain marketing, quality control and employee supervision.?Mechanical ability required.?Must be able to obtain a Grain Grading Certificate?Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.?Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more, work at heights over 150 feet.
