Grain Marketing Advisor
Requisition ID : 1222Landus Cooperative is seeking an individual to coordinate, implement, and maintain an effective grain origination program and assist the members with grain marketing strategies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Provide origination assistance and leadership to the region. ?Maintain and increase regional grain market share and customer retention records.Make selected sales calls on present and prospective customers regarding marketing their grain through Landus Cooperative.??? ?Develop and maintain a call list of potential grain accounts.Develop and monitor customer marketing plans and sales history.Coordinate and assist in roundtable meetings with key grain customers along with the Area Managers, Location Manager, and the? Vice President of Producer Marketing.Disseminate grain information to all employees within the region, and help coach them to assist in market development.Assist in coordination of scheduling truck transportation for FOB farm purchases.Assist in coordination of specialty grain production programs within the region.Assist in preparing and presenting information at grain meetings and seminars for employees and customers.Monitor and change grain prices; sending information to customers.Monitor customer offers, contracts, and settlement documentation.Participate in local agricultural organizations such as ISU Extension schools, Chamber of Commerce, etc.Participate in marketing, sales, and other types of training, and share information with others.Be available for daily work and extended hours as required.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
