Chad Markley?PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Under the direction of the Grain District Manager and Grain Department Manager/Grain office Manager, is responsible for elevator office operations and managerial duties including quality control, safety, dispatching, customer service and providing leadership for grain merchandising.??Essential Job Functions?Supervises, leads and develops assigned full-time and part-time elevator employees.?Responsible for all grain locations sales and promotional material lead by the Grain Department Manager.?Trains assigned employees to meet state, federal, and company regulatory and safety criteria.?Responsible for grain documents: incoming, stored and outgoing grain. Also maintains the grain measurements and OSHA documents.?Implements grain pricing considering sample and inspection grade on all incoming and outgoing grain shipments. Ensures service charge levels are maintained.?Communicates storage and drying rates and basic contracts. Determines daily bids, selects best bids and monitors competitive bids.?Provides professional customer service that results in increased sales.?Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for part-time and full-time employee??Other Job Functions?Stays current and informed on industry trends, competitive practices and regulatory compliance.?Performs related duties as assigned.??Requirements?Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.?Education in Ag Marketing, Agri-Business or equivalent experience there-of preferred.?Experience in AG Department Marketing.?Supervisory ExperienceAbility to provide leadership for location employees.Required: Series III Commodity Brokers License and Series 30 Commodity Brokers License. Series III and Series 30 Commodity Licenses must be obtained within one year upon hiring date of the Grain Office Manager position.
