Chad MarkleyPURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Under the direction of the Grain District and Department Manager, is responsible for elevator office operations and managerial duties including quality control, safety, dispatching, customer service and providing leadership for grain merchandising. Responsible for handling grain (incoming and outbound), ensures grain quality and maintains equipment.?Essential Job Functions:?Supervises, leads and develops assigned full-time and part-time elevator employees.Responsible for all grain locations sales and promotional material lead by the Grain Department Manager.Trains assigned employees to meet state, federal, and company regulatory and safety criteria.Responsible for grain documents: incoming, stored and outgoing grain. Also maintains the grain measurements and OSHA documents.Implements grain pricing considering sample and inspection grade on all incoming and outgoing grain shipments. Ensures service charge levels are maintained.Communicates storage and drying rates and basic contracts. Determines daily bids, selects best bids and monitors competitive bids.Assists in all areas of the unloading, loading and transferring of grain and grain products which may include but not be limited to truck and rail operations.Operations of conveyance equipment that is utilized in the shipping, receiving and transferring of grain and grain products and the associated safety systems of that equipment.Provides professional customer service that results in increased sales.Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for part-time and full-time employee??????????? Other Job Functions:?Stays current and informed on industry trends, competitive practices and regulatory compliance.Performs related duties as assigned.?Requirements:?Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Hours dependent on the weather and length of season.? Weekend hours required.Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more and work at heights over 150 feet.?
