Grain Origination Specialist- Decatur, ILADM GrainThis is an exempt level position.Position Summary:The position will be based in Decatur reporting to the Origination manager. The primary function of this role is to originate bushels directly from producers in the area as well as secure direct to farm fertilizer sales. This position will be located in Decatur, IL with occasional work in Macon, ILJob Responsibilities:
Responsible for building and maintaining producer relationshipsSpend several days a week on pre-planned customer appointmentsCoordinate strategic grain origination and fertilizer sales plan with the team Maintain clear customer list with market share/contact information/activity logAssist customers with marketing, accounting, and other administrative tasksActively prospect for new business through outbound phone calls and in person meetingsActively communicate with other colleagues on markets/grain movementWork to attain positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across all divisions and responsibilities. Portray a positive image of ADM and self when interacting with customers and colleaguesDevelop, maintain, and accomplish personal goals set forth by manager Job Requirements:
Extended hours/weekends during harvest Occasional travel requiredB.A or B.S degree, experience with sales and ag sales a plusProficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPointSelf-starter with the ability to assess risk and make sound decisionsAbility to speak in public, cold call and communicate effectivelyResults oriented, problem solver and a great teammateAdopt, promote and demonstrate the ADM safety and ethics culture
