The Originator?s primary responsibility is to buy grain for a business unit.? Additionally, the originator will have primary responsibility to develop and maintain customer relationships and oversee contract execution and logistics issues for customers of the business unit.? The Originator?s secondary responsibility will be to assist the Business Unit Manager in developing and implementing marketing programs for the business unit and maintaining the unit?s customer base. This will be accomplished by gaining a thorough understanding of all systems reports and operational processes and taking responsibility to problem solve and implement changes as appropriate.? It will also be a secondary responsibility to manage/assist with logistics for Operations as well as accounting settlements for Merchandising Assistants.
?Implement a marketing program for assigned customers in a defined territory that complies with guidelines and risk parameters for the company and business unit
Develop an operational understanding of premium and flat price risk management, position limits for customers, and marketing programs and their customer management requirements for basis and futures positioning as instructed by the location merchant.
Keep and reconcile contracts and positions for assigned customers of the Business Unit.
Oversee shipments, logistics issues and contract executions for all assigned customers.
Aid the merchandiser assistants in problem solving and customer service as needed Minimum Qualifications
College degree with a business / related field or equivalent industry experience
One to two years of experience
Must possess good communication, problem solving and sales skills
Customer service skills and positive, persuasive, and credible attitude
Demonstrated PC literacy and ability to utilize standard office systems
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
