They know HOW to achieve the quality for the customer.??Our ideal candidate has formal education and experience growing horticultural products in a controlled greenhouse environment.? Our growers anticipate what the plants need every day by monitoring for proper water levels, pests, temperature, humidity and soil. Analyzing this data and apply the grower?s specialized knowledge to manipulate all these factors is what makes the quality difference for our customers.Responsibilities:Collaborates with growing team to accomplish seasonal goals.Monitors annual and perennial crops for proper watering, fertilizer, pests.Performs soil tests to evaluate pH and EC and is able to interpret results.Applying chemicals, fertilizers, and biological controls as needed to maintain health of crop.Evaluates data to identify crop challenges.Manipulates greenhouse temperature, humidity to control crop growth.Communicates status with Head Grower on a daily basis.Competencies:Excellent math skillsDemonstrated computer literacyOutstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skillsMotivation to learnGood Observation skillsRequirements:Horticultural knowledgeB.S. in Horticulture or equivalent a mustBilingual (Spanish/English) is a plusJoin our Cavicchio Greenhouse, Inc. team.
