We are committed to rescuing land from degradation, enhancing biodiversity and revitalizing rural communities.About This JobThe purpose of the Head HRBP Seeds NA (North America) is to provide HR partnership to NA Seeds leadership teams, to develop and implement people strategies in order to support the implementation of the business strategyAccountabilitiesIs a member of the NA Seeds Leadership Team with shared responsibility for shaping and delivering the Strategic Agenda Partner with senior leadership to design and deliver people strategies, processes and products for NA Seeds business which ensure that the organizational capability, processes, systems, structure and culture are in place to drive the achievement of business goalsEnsure that the implications of the regional people strategy are well understood and that the HR capability and culture is in place to enable delivery Coach and challenge senior leadership to develop the organizational capability and resources required to enable delivery of business strategy, and to provide coaching and feedback to ensure the development of their leadership capabilityProvide, and develop in others, change management capability to enable leadership team development, business transformation and the ongoing development of Syngentas unique cultureTake responsibility for the embedding of robust people management disciplines including talent management, people development, performance management, diversity initiatives and facilitate cross functional/business forums to enable effective people management and developmentBuild effective employee partnershipsPartner with regional COEs and HR services to ensure development and delivery of effective HR processesEnsure compliance with labor legislationLead, motivate and develop a small team of business partners in line with Syngenta philosophy to deliver the people plans within the allocated resources, shaping and changing resource allocation as appropriate in line with business needsSkills:Essential Knowledge & SkillsExperience of developing and implementing Human Resources initiatives in line with overall regional/global steer, including business change management projects Experience of business transformations Highly focused upon driving business performance Brings a strong E2E end to end business understanding across the functions Seeks to deliver on customer needs and requirements Teamwork – fosters high-performance teamwork among team members who report to him/her, across the organization, and within teams in which he/she participates Courage – takes tough stands, brings up undiscussables and openly deals with difficult relationship problems Strategy – thinks and plans rigorously and strategically to ensure that the organization will thrive in the near and long-termQualificationsSignificant HR experience 10+ years, including 3-5 years in a people management role Experience of leading and developing an HR team BA or Masters degree, preferably in economic, social sciences, business or leadership SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP a plus Track record of successful coaching and supporting leaders to achieve people objectives Successful management of operational HR policies and processes in a cross-functional and global organizationAdditional InformationAll applicants must be eligible to work in the US without visa support Relocation support may be available Travel up to 20% domestic and internationalSyngenta is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion or any other employment practices for reasons of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital or veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.
