Head of Technical TrainingGreensboro, NCAsthe Head of Technical Training, you willbe responsible for the development and implementation of an impactfulinteractive technical training strategy for key internal and externalstakeholders including agronomy personnel, sales reps and customers. You will execute this strategy utilizing afull range of instructional methods (classroom & in-field facilitation,simulations, role-plays, video, on-line learning, etc.). The goals of thistraining include building internal confidence and excitement with ourtechnology, improving delivery of our story with the customer and improvingbusiness results.Inthis role, you will also has dotted line responsibility for providing guidanceto the Key Account Agronomy group and maintaining close alignment with the Key AccountManages and other teams throughout the U.S. Commercial organization. Additionally, you will be part of theAgronomy and Technical Services Leadership teams and will be responsible forsetting direction and developing robust agronomic initiatives (includingemerging digital agronomy) that arealigned with Syngentas short, mid and longer-term business strategy.Essential Duties &Responsibilities: Activelymanage Technical Training team to lead training and agronomic support for internaland external customersWorkacross the organization to identify and proactively design, develop andimplement technical training options that address key and emerging businessneedsEstablisha close working relationship with Field Force Effectiveness & Training team(FFE&T), and Learning & Development to co-develop a commercial trainingculture, align technical training with FFET initiatives, and up-skill AgronomyTrainersParticipatein cross-functional teams to identify and develop a permanent and robusttraining libraryCo-createtechnical onboarding plans for Technical Services personnel, DevelopmentalSales Reps and Sales RepresentativesLeadSyngenta Campus initiatives that serve to provide basic technical and agronomictraining to both internal and external audiences Skills:Education &Experience: Mastersor PhD, with significant background and/or education in crop agronomy orrelated fieldAminimum of 7 years of experience working in the agriculture industryAminimum of 4 years of experience designing and delivering training programsutilizing instructional methods that yield results by designSolidunderstanding of the application of crop agronomics and technologies that arethe financial drivers of a growers businessExperiencein a coaching and/or people development roleAdditional Knowledge,Skills, Traits & Abilities: Abilityto assess business needs and design, develop and implement training programsStrongfacilitation, presentation, and written communication skillsExceptionalproject management and organization skillsAbilityto lead self and others, internal and externalAbout SyngentaSyngentais a leading agriculture company helping to improve global food security byenabling millions of farmers to make better use of available resources.
