Monsanto seeks a highly motivated individual as the HR Lead, Hawaii providing comprehensive HR leadership for the US Hawaii team located across three islands â?? Oahu, Maui and Molokai. This role is an active business partner on the Hawaii Leadership team and reports into the HR Lead for Global Plant Breeding. This team is a critical part of Monsantoâ??s Global Breeding, Global Technology (R&D) organization, and North America Supply Chain and related HR teams. This role works closely with business leadership by setting the people strategy direction for Hawaii, coaching and developing leaders, shaping an inclusive and diverse culture that emphases on developing its people, ensuring freedom to operate, and acting as a strategic partner on all key HR initiatives. This role leads an HR team that focuses on employee relations, contingent labor planning, recruitment, partnering with Monsanto HR subject matter experts/external vendors in benefits and policy administration, as well as employee/leadership development activities. This position will require influence and must work collaboratively with HR colleagues and specialist functions. This role is engaged in sponsoring and participating in key employee-community outreach initiatives and programs as a Monsanto ambassador. Responsibilities: Develop trusted relationships with key leaders and employees across organizationGain a clear understanding of current and future business strategies to define and implement effective people strategies that deliver business results thru an inclusive cultureAttract, develop and motivate a diverse workforce spanning the full range of disciplines, positions and teams, including salaried professionals across different functions and expertise, scientists, managers, agricultural specialists, field crew leads, hourly field crew and seed technicians. ;Effectively lead organizational change and transformation initiativesInfluence business leaders and independent thinkers in controversial and complex situationsDevelop, implement and maintain a plan to attract and retain talent, including critical seasonal field workforce/ contingent labor needsDesign and deliver effective employee, team and leadership development initiativesFoster employee and manager accountability for employee development, goal setting, performance management, and recognition and rewards programsDevelop and motivate a professional HR team to deliver business resultsAct as coach and consultant to people managers for human resource issues and problemsEnsure consistent understanding and application of all HR processes, such as performance reviews, incentive planning, market reviews, talent reviews, and succession planningPartner with HR specialist teams to deliver operational excellence, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field10+ years progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Leadership role5+ years of practical Human Resources generalist experienceAbility to design and implement effective people strategiesAbility to operate and lead change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment across multiple stakeholder and businessesStrong understanding and experience interpreting and working with the local labor environment and labor partners, relevant statutes, and planning for the impact to the organizationâ??s operations freedom to operateEffective people leadership skillsAbility to make data-driven talent decisions using analyticsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to establish relationships and networks and influence across the organizationAbility to effectively collaborate in a highly matrixed environmentAbility to travel across the islands and mainland at least 25% Desired Skills/Experience: MBA or Masters degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related fieldApply for this job.
