HR Manager – Regional
Overview:Provide Human Resources generalist functions in support of multiple Bunge locations organized by geographical region and/or business unit. Such services will focus on helping the management and staffs at these locations maximize productivity, improve employee morale, ensure compliance with Bunge policies and procedures, promote Bunge’s core values and capabilities, and minimize legal risks to the company by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position will be based in our Kearny, NJ location and have responsibility for the Eastern U.S. locations.Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Essential Functions:• Partner with regional/business unit leadership to achieve objectives.• Develop and maintain solid business relationships with regional and facility leaders, ultimately assuming role of trusted advisor. Develop sound recommendations through subject matter expertise, insightful analysis of situations and data and full consideration of all stakeholder and business impacts. Communicate perspectives, pushing back when appropriate, and ensure risks/rewards are understood when analyzing potential outcomes.• Lead Employee Relations function for the region by providing direction to field HR personnel and collaborating with peers in the consistent delivery of HR services across the organization. • Provide Bunge regional and facility leaders with the full range of Human Resources services including, but not limited to, policy and procedure counsel/implementation, staffing and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and coaching, training and development of local management and facility personnel. • Enhance credibility by taking an active role in the business and demonstrating a thorough understanding of business drivers. Participate in meetings, interact with employees at various events, travel to field locations, deliver on commitments and provide responses in a timely manner.• Maintain HR subject matter expertise through continual self-education and practical application of HR-related initiatives.• Engage in workforce planning, maintaining an awareness of workforce demographics, bench strength, operational requirements and local market conditions. Develop strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to optimize talent.• Maintain a pulse on the organization, understanding employee concerns, motivations and level of engagement. Develop and implement strategies to address employee concerns and cultivate a positive work environment• Facilitate change management through proactive planning, frequent communications, analysis of actions and outcomes, and preparation of regional/facility leaders to effectively communicate change and handle questions following change initiatives. • Facilitate cultural integration following acquisitions or periods of change in the region. Assist leaders in driving alignment and cultivating an environment of collaboration.• At the direction of Legal and senior HR management, conduct investigations related to policy violations, misconduct, or other circumstances that may result in disciplinary action.• As directed, assist in labor relations matters, which may include negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and responding to grievances, mediations, arbitrations, litigation and other legal affairs affecting Bunge operations.
