Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position:The HR Generalist will provide support and expertise to the Western Geography HRBP?s, employees and management. This role is responsible for coordination with appropriate departments regarding wage and hour issues, leave of absence administration, California and other state disability insurance programs. This position will also maintain a thorough understanding all company benefits and help the geography ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations such as EEO, FLSA, ERISA, ADA, and FMLA.? Critical to this role is the ability to work with and maintain employee data in employee data systems.?Key Skills and Abilities:Strong skills in MS Office Suite and high degree of comfort working with HRIS systemsStrong knowledge of labor laws, employer practices and potential employment liabilities including policy administrationSolid knowledge of FMLA, other leave of absence laws, and general benefits programsProven ability to successfully manage and facilitate change, as well as ability to multi-taskAbility to work in a fast paced environment and to reset priorities as needed?Key Personal Attributes:Outstanding Customer focusEffective handling of sensitive information with discretionSolution and results oriented approach to all situationsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work on various projects simultaneouslyAbility to work and contribute independently with given assignmentsAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of employeesStrong teamwork skills and ability to communicate with team members on updates?Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Include:Coaches and counsels managers on talent management practices, addressing questions and helping them navigate the processMaintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the databaseProvide support to employees on questions about career management, HR programs, issues with teams and managers, personal situations that arise and need HR guidanceResponsible of performing all upfront audit activities to ensure an accurate weekly and bi-weekly payroll process.Administering geography?s Leave of Absence requests, including compliance with State law and FMLA and ADA for the geographyDevelop and maintain key internal/external relationships, which may include: business leaders, hiring managers, business/function human resource professionals, industry contacts, employeesCoordinating recruiting support for the geography including maintaining job descriptions, job postings, participating in interviews, and creating and administering offer letters for employmentResponding to branch support and employee?s about questions and concerns regarding HR policies and proceduresAssist HR Business Partner?s with investigations, and problem resolution around employee relations issues, including interviews, creating and administering corrective action, and performance improvement plansOwn staffing plans for branch locations in correspondence to hiringAssist HR Business Partner?s with annual Workforce Planning sessions, and ownership of annual performance review sessionsPerforming other HR duties as required including willingness to travel up to 20% time?Compensation and Benefits:Competitive?hourly wage (to be determined based on experience and other factors)?Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offerings?If you are currently a Wilbur-Ellis employee, please notify your Manager prior to applying for this position.
