Human Resources Business Partner ??? Maui & Molokai, job description: We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner for Bayer???s Maui and Molokai, Hawaii, Global Breeding Sites. This position will report functionally to the HR Lead for Hawaii and be an active member of the Kihei and Kaunakakai Site Leadership Teams, as well as well as the HR Global Breeding and Technology & HR Supply Chain Teams.  This position is responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and influence for the Bayer facilities and teams located in Kihei, Hawaii and Kaunakakai, Hawaii.  The Kihei site is a critical part of Bayer???s Global Breeding organization and its trait & pipeline delivery.  The Kaunakakai site is similarly critical to Bayer???s Supply Chain organization and its ability to prepare for commercial seed production for our farmer customers.      The successful candidate will provide practical, hands-on leadership and expertise for all functional HR activities.  This role works closely with business leadership by providing HR expertise, acting as a strategic partner on all key HR initiatives, employee relations, contingent labor planning, recruitment, partner with Bayer HR subject matter experts/external vendors in benefits and policy administration, and employee/leadership development activities.   Scope / Specific Responsibilities of the Position:  Gain a clear understanding of current and future business strategies in order to influence the Global Breeding People Strategy & Global Supply Chain People Strategy and implement an effective people plan.Demonstrate active leadership during organizational change efforts.Develop effective coaching relationships with key business leaders.Apply HR knowledge and skills to effectively drive business practices and resolve people issues.Providing ongoing coaching and consultation to people managers. Foster accountability for employee development and performance by ensuring training/goal – setting and recognition plans/programs are in place.Ensure effective leadership and operational excellence of all basic HR processes including performance reviews, incentive planning and talent reviews/succession planning.Provide counsel and assist employees and people managers in resolving complex or controversial Human Resource problems, including disciplinary counseling, legal issues and terminations.Assist in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion as well as people development and engagement efforts in a multi-cultural environmentDeliver operational excellence and direction around Bayer???s people processes, policies and philosophiesSupport the Hawaii HR Lead and team in delivering the People Strategy across all functions across HawaiiLead and develop HR Administrative team supporting Maui County sites#LI-POST Qualifications:Required Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required. MBA or Masters degree in Human Resources, Organization Psychology or related field preferred.7+ years of progressive Human Resources required Previous HR Generalist experience is requiredFunctional knowledge of HR practices, policies, practices, and programs.Experience coaching and providing leadership development across multiple levelsEssential Skills and Competencies:Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs to talent imperatives.Strong influence skills and demonstrated ability to work with leadership and employees.Able to maintain and build trust along with the demonstrated ability to protect and preserve confidential information.Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.Strong cultural awareness and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.Ability to analyze information and make decisions quickly and accurately.Solid understanding of HR policies/procedures, as well as local, state and federal employment laws.Ability to identify process/workflows improvement opportunities and develop/influence an effective way to execute changes.Flexible and able to respond quickly to changing job demands and prioritize multiple responsibilities.Recognize, respect, and leverage talents, skills, and resources of others, both in and outside Bayer.Practical hands on experience, attention to detail and results orientation.
