Human Resources Business Partner ??? NA Supply Chain and Oxnard Production Site, Job Description: This position is responsible for providing comprehensive HR partnership for the North America Vegetable Supply Chain organization and the Oxnard, CA Production site ??? both critical functions in Monsanto Vegetable Seeds (MVS) organization. The successful candidate will provide strategic partnership and operational support for all functional HR activities, working closely with business leadership by providing HR expertise, acting as a strategic partner on all key HR initiatives, employee relations and employee/leadership development activities. In addition, this position will require strategic influence and must work collaboratively with HR colleagues across Monsanto. Scope / Specific Responsibilities of the PositionGain a clear understanding of current and future business strategies in order to influence the Global Vegetable People Strategy and implement an effective NA people plan.Apply HR knowledge and skills to effectively drive business practices and resolve people issuesProvide ongoing coaching and consultation to people managersAssist and provide counsel to employees and people managers in resolving complex or sensitive Human Resource problems, including disciplinary counseling, legal issues and terminationsDemonstrate active leadership during organizational change efforts.Develop effective coaching relationships with key business leaders.Foster accountability for employee development and performance by ensuring training/goal – setting and recognition plans/programs are in place.Ensure effective leadership and operational excellence of all HR processes including performance reviews, incentive planning and talent reviews/succession planning.Partner with appropriate HR specialist teams to deliver HR excellence. This includes Talent Acquisition, Global Talent & Organizational Change (GTOC), Compensation and Benefits.Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required. MBA or Masters degree in Human Resources, Organization Psychology or related field preferred.Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience required. Previous HR Generalist experience preferred.Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs to talent imperatives.Functional knowledge of HR practices, policies and programs required. Experience with California labor law preferred.Solid understanding of HR policies/procedures, as well as local, state and federal employment laws.Experience coaching and providing leadership development across multiple levels required.Strong influence skills and demonstrated ability to work with leadership and employees.Able to maintain and build trust along with the demonstrated ability to protect and preserve confidential information.Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.Ability to analyze information and make decisions quickly and accurately.Leveraging data to tell the business story through analytical means, is preferred.Ability to identify process/workflows improvement opportunities and develop/influence an effective way to execute changes.Flexible and able to respond quickly to changing job demands and prioritize multiple responsibilities.Recognize, respect, and leverage talents, skills, and resources of others, both in and outside Monsanto.Ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.Availability to travel domestically (10-20%)Apply for this job.
