Beachwood, OH Where the ChemistryHappens Under the directionof the HR Director, the HR Manager is accountable for providing the full rangeof Human Resources support to the assigned business group and/or functionswithin the North American Construction Chemicals business. The HR Manager is responsible for the day today HR Management activities including: employee relations, recruiting & staffing, training, compensation,policy interpretation and implementation, legal compliance, organizationaldevelopment, talent management, and performance management. The HR Manager will partner with businessand/or functional leadership to provide comprehensive human resources servicesincluding counseling, coaching and guidance while ensuring compliance with allapplicable laws and BASF policies. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to legalcompliance, recruitment & selection, policies & procedures, training& career development, performance management, compensation administration,organizational development, employee relations, projects & initiatives.Formula forSuccess Previousexperience in working within a fast paced, full service business environment.Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. state and federal laws andgovernmental compliance requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of current and progressive principles andpractices of human resources management. Demonstrated ability to manage and administer a broad range oftasks including resolving complaints, and counseling managers and employees onthe interpretation of policies, procedures and other businessissues. Demonstratedability to communicate (verbal and written), interact, and influence with alllevels including production technicians, staff associates, and seniormanagement. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive workingrelationships internally and externally. Demonstrateduse of sound judgment and ability to make decisions in a fair & consistentmanner.Act independently regarding most operational activities, andinteracts with manager usually on a consulting and reporting basis.
