Will work on a variety of equipment involving both legacy and state-of-the-art technologies.Responsibilities: * Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of industrial heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems. * Inspects and evaluates HVAC/R systems and their components (heating units, air handlers, chillers, walk in coolers/freezers, etc.) * Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and components (i.e. pumps, motors, air handlers, humidifiers, fans, coils, piping, HEPA filtration, etc.) to ensure a comfortable and safe workplace environment. * Responds to emergency situations both during and after business hours to resolve critical equipment failures and/or to address related safety concerns. * Coordinates equipment shut-down schedules and repairs with internal customers. * Maintains appropriate inventory levels of equipment, parts and supplies to ensure that scheduled repairs and unanticipated mechanical problems can be resolved in timely fashion.
* Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as appropriate or as required to perform at optimal levels. * May provide customer training in the operation of supported systems. * Complies with all company standards and procedures. Minimum Skills, education, experience: * High School Diploma/GED equivalent; Incumbent must be a graduate of an accredited HVAC/R apprenticeship program with a minimum 5 years” experience.Desirable skills, education, experience: * Associate”s degree is preferred.Other Requirements * Holds a valid CFC certificate. * Possesses a good understanding of all tools and instruments needed to perform assigned job responsibilities. * Has good analytical skills and pays attention to detail. * Has ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. * Has experience with one or more building management systems (Siemens preferred).
* Can work both independently and as part of a team. * Maintains a high level of safety best-practice knowledge. * Proven ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, sometimes under aggressive time constraints. * Has 5+ years of experience working in a large commercial, industrial, or institutional setting. * Can work business hours (days) and as-needed for non-business hour shutdowns and emergency call in situations.
