Learn more at .www.adm.comHydrocolloids Superintendent – Decatur, IL BioProductsThis is a full-time, exempt positionEssential FunctionsHas an active role in ongoing process improvements within the Xanthan Gum production process, with particular emphasis on the fermentation process.Provide leadership to two different operations groups and to provide guidance to process engineers on the production of HydrocolloidsCollaborate with the Fermentation and Refinery Superintendents to achieve production volume and manufacturing cost targets.Partners with ADM BioProducts and Research colleagues to advance improvements and suggest changes in bacterial strain development, fermentation culture medium, and fermentation run conditions.Ensure that process improvement efforts are properly documented and preserved for future referenceFoster an ethical and positive work environmentParticipate in food safety efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices.Education/Experience4 year technical degree at an accredited university.5+ years of leadership/process improvement experience within a Hydrocolloids production facility is preferredDesired SkillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Outlook)Basic PI/Process Book skillsAuditing Technical WritingTraining program development along with all other policy and program development skills.Working ConditionsExposed to heightsWork in uncomfortable environments, such as hot or cold temperatures.Bending and kneeling.Physical RequirementsAbility to climb stairsSit or stand for long periodsComputer operationsRelocation assistance is available with this position.Apply for this job.
