Image Technical Lead – #01R3Q
We are currently seeking a talented Image Technical Lead. This role will be located in St. Louis, MO, reporting to the Global Statistics Breeding Lead. The Image Technical Lead will play a critical role in helping build the next generation of phenomics using novel imagery solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Engage with industry leading scientists on projects that will revolutionize agriculture through the rapid development of next generation technologies. Be part of the future of agriculture and identify exciting ways to automate, digitize and revolutionize the way we analyze and drive decisions in agriculture. Manage a team of computer vision scientists, remote sensing scientists and data scientists and help lead the team into the AI and computer vision driven models to interpret the large amount of UAV, UGV, and satellite imagery we collect across the globe. Qualifications: Required Skills/Experience:Minimum of a PhD or equivalent Initiative and vision in digital phenomics and a passion for continuous learning and leadership Leadership experience (either direct or through influence) Passion, excitement and energy towards leading a team and creating a vision for the future using new technologies and analytics Previous experience in computer vision, image processing and remote sensing principles Solid foundation in curating and interpreting data from a multitude of imaging modalities (RGB, thermal, LiDAR, multi/hyperspectral, etc.) Experience in a least two of the following tools, environments and languages: Python, R, QGIS, Imagine, and/or AWS Desired Skills/Experience: Knowledge of multi-temporal data processing, video processing and 3D scene reconstruction methodsBayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
