About This JobThe purpose of this role is to provide Information Systems leadership and expertise in order to improve business performance through stimulating efficient and beneficial use of technology. This is based on a deep understanding of business strategy, operating models, and processes. Accountable for critical advice to ensure business strategic and operational objectives are realized, including alignment of business strategy with the global IS and Sustainable Excellence strategy, policy and methodology.Propose, agree, prioritize and steer the delivery of a portfolio of IS investments aimed at improving the performance of the business so that it achieves its long-term objectives.Accountabilities Build strong partnership with business leaders that allows for constructively challenging conversations.
Collaborate to create and agree a 3-5 year IS plan aligned to the business strategic agenda covering investment, training, and exploitation of IS systems.
Provide strategic IS expertise and critical advice to the business at leadership team level, influencing and challenging to ensure the beneficial exploitation of information and communications technology.
Influence SBS Strategy and Business Architecture to provide targeted strategic foresight, ensuring the Syngenta IS landscape is aligned to changing business needs and challenges.
Monitor best practice and trends within the Ag industry and other industry sectors to stimulate business thinking and provide professional insight to identify emerging challenges and opportunities.
Ensure alignment of the NA strategy with the Syngenta IS strategy and business architecture, providing input to the CIO, and the architecture and budget review processes as required and effectively communicate the developing strategic business requirements within the IS community.
Leverage network across organizational boundaries to obtain business sponsorship, support, funds and resources for each project to ensure they are sufficient to deliver the identified benefits.
Act as an ambassador to promote and facilitate global business process and information harmonization, encompassing stakeholder management and business communications regarding IS and business process capabilities and changes.Skills:

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.QualificationsAt least 5 years in managerial position on senior leadership team, influencing and setting strategy.
Lead role in IS functions involving influencing at a senior management level.
10 years program management experience.
Bachelors degrees is a minimum requirement. Graduate degree or relevant working experience/MBA is desirable.
Professional qualifications in business relationship management, project and portfolio management, business process management, Lean Six Sigma or comparable methodologies.
Commercial knowledge/experience, including control of budgets and understanding financial tools and analyses.Additional Information All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without visa support
Travel- 15%- travel to other territories will be required on an occasional basis to build stakeholder relationships and stimulate innovation.
