Information Technology Intern (Muscatine, IA) – #01S01
We are seeking a motivated Information Technology Intern. This position will be located in Muscatine, IA, reporting to our Finance Business Unit Leader. The application development intern role supports technology solutions for the Muscatine manufacturing site. This role is responsible to design, develop, configure, test, and deploy new software applications. This includes a variety of business systems and associated data, ranging from systems that provide efficiencies, to systems critical to support our manufacturing. Responsibilities of this role include:Design, develop, test and deploy custom software or purchased applications, using appropriate standards and working with the customer to ensure business needs are metResearch, evaluate, acquire, configure, test, and deploy packaged software, working with the customer to ensure business needs are metManage application development or legacy application re-programming projects, including creating scope and project plans, analyzing and managing risks, and communicating with customers and managementEvaluate customer business needs and develop requirements for the creation or configuration of software applications and systemsThis summer internship is scheduled for twelve weeks from May through August of 2019.Qualifications: Required Skills/Experience:Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical fieldCompleted the sophomore year at the time of applicationMinimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong customer service orientationStrong personal initiativeAbility to work well in a team environment and use resources effectively Microsoft Windows operating systemsTechnical knowledge and some experience with several of the following programming languages and tools to include Visual Basic, Active Server Pages, and HTML; Relational Database concepts; Familiarity with JAVA, C#, and/or NET technologies Desired Skills/Experience:Experience in managing small-to-medium projectsKnowledge of object oriented programming conceptsProficiency with OracleFamiliarity with SAP Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
