Monsanto IT???s Digital Dimension of Innovation is in search of a UI Designer/Developer! We are looking to round out a small, but mighty Lab team which operates with a ???first who, then what??? approach. You are who brings design sensibilities and technical skills together. You have a portfolio overflowing with beautiful yet functional design, your roots in un-paralleled experience run deep and are uncompromising, and you take pleasure in pushing the envelope. You will engage in all Lab activities to design for the end user. You will likely take on a little front-end development yourself! You have the production skills to be able to produce visual designs in Photoshop and then turn them in to HTML code that deals with the wonders of browser compatibilities. You can visualize what could be and use your bag of tricks to help others see the light! Responsibilities include:Play well with othersGet excited about the intersection of business needs and consumer delightDesign and develop engaging and elegant digital user experiencesProvide highly creative, carefully thought-out ideasExecute both interaction and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary teamConsult with clients, team, and external agencies/vendorsResearch interaction design trendsQualifications: Must Haves:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or Visual Communications, or equivalent experience (candidate with no degree must have a minimum of 7 years of design or visual communications experienceA minimum of 3+ years of interaction and visual design experience for software UI, web applications, and/or mobile devicesMust love the intersection of human behavior and technologyStrong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other associated design toolsExperience building prototypes using Axure, InVision, Marvel, or similar softwareAbility to create visual design comps – low/mid fidelity wireframesExperience with user interface design patternsAbility to adhere to app style guides Bonus Points: Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detailCritical thinker with the ability to demystify complex and ambiguous technical requirementsStrong team orientation, collaboration/communication/interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze information and present recommendationWorking knowledge of human-centered design methodologyAdept at understanding technical components and how they address business needsResults-driven with demonstrated ability to prioritizeExperience with unit, functional, and integration testingAbility to ensure cohesive customer experience in an omni-channel environmentApply for this job.
