Inside Sales and CSR – Ag Equipment

POSITION SUMMARYThis person will be responsible for determining customers needs.  The representative will interact with the customer via phone, e-mail, and in person to understand their application and needs.  Once understanding the customer s needs the representative will develop a quote for the system.  After the configuration is finalized they will ensure the customer has the necessary support during installation and implementation of the LAFORGE system.  This person will support and interact with the territory sales staff to create a seamless customer experience.The individual will provide product support for LAFORGE products, predominantly by phone and occasionally making an in-person call.  Success in this role will require basic understanding in the following areas:Electronics, 12v DC electrical systemsHydraulicsCommunication to determine the customer s problem and implement solutionsThe successful applicant may or may not have knowledge, expertise, or experience in all or any of the above areas.  The selection process will evaluate the applicant s aptitude as an indicator of the ability to acquire the required knowledge. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPromote and support all aspects of assigned LAFORGE product lines to customers and dealers.  Gather, maintain, and communicate competitive product information.Process whole goods and spare parts orders with in the business management platform and maintain dealer information in CRM systemProvide information to dealers highlighting features and competitive advantages of new and existing products to increase product knowledge and sales while working to decrease warranty claims.Create and maintain product information within product support materials.Assist with trade shows, sales meetings, and dealer meetings to promote assigned product lines.Act as the face of the company to the customer and dealer when resolving any issues while representing the company to the highest set of values and accepted standards by following company procedures.  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS        Competency Statement(s)Accountability Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.Communication, Oral Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Communication, written Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.Decision Making Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.Ethical Ability to demonstrate conformance to a set of values and accepted standards. Organization Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.Project Management Ability to organize and direct a project to completion.Time Management Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work given deadlines.                EducationAssociates Degree (Bachelor s degree preferred) in an area of study that supports the position, and a work history with demonstrated capability is required.          Required SkillsSuccessful experience in product support, inside sales, aftersales support or parts sales.Must have computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, social media) and the ability to interface with computer-based CRM systemAbility to multitask and effectively manage priorities.Good interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers via email, phone and interpersonal dialog and work as part of a team.Embrace a dynamic and constantly changing workplaceSelf-StarterKnowledge of Agricultural practicesMust have valid driver s license. Location and TravelThis position will be located at the LAFORGE facility in Waterloo, IA.  Travel may be required at times to support sales events or for field service calls.  Travel could be up to 20% seasonally. TrainingNo specific training program exists for this position.  The individual will be expected to learn through experience, study product manuals and documentation, and ask questions for clarification.  LAFORGE does emphasize employee development.  Opportunities will exist to attend specialized training throughout the course of employment. Other DutiesThe position will have other duties not specifically defined above that are essential for the overall success of LAFORGE.
