Houston, TXWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to provide providing instrument and control system engineering expertise for execution of large capital projects in North America. In this role, you will assure proper design, installation, and startup of instrumentation and process control systems according to regulatory and BASF standards. Formula for Success Leveraging your educational background in Chemical or Electrical Engineering and your professional experience in instrumentation and control systems, you will direct I&C functions for large capital projects including, but not limited to, P&ID development for instrumentation, instrument list development, control logic development, preparation of specifications/technical evaluation for field instrumentation, control systems (DCS, SIS, PLCs), and package unit equipment. This also includes participating in off-site inspections and factory acceptance tests for I&C equipment.You will leverage your coordination skills to collaborate with site operations, maintenance, technology managers, external vendors and other stakeholders as required to define project specific requirements. You will also work with discipline counterparts from Civil, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical, and Process Engineering during the engineering process and participate in cross-checks between the disciplines. Through your strong technical competencies, you will work with engineering partners in reviewing the quality of the design and issue of I&C construction packages.
