Geismar, LAWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a leader like you to provide managerial and technical leadership to Instrument/Electrical and Control Systems engineers and technicians, including the safe and effective execution of area maintenance and engineering work while managing stakeholder expectations. The Manager provides the area Manufacturing Cluster with expert guidance regarding complex maintenance or engineering issues and solutions. This includes the development and implementation of predictive/preventive maintenance and control systems strategies consistent with requirements as defined by Asset Managers. Formula for SuccessLeveraging your academic background in Engineering and technical experience in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment (maintenance, manufacturing, and/or engineering), you will provide technical leadership, mentoring, and overall management of the team by understanding the needs, taking personal ownership of the team responsibilities and deliverables, empowering the team to meet their commitments, ensuring the use of LEAN manufacturing tools, and driving continuous improvement effortsYou will participate in the development of the Automation/Control Strategy and be responsible for the execution of the cluster strategy; you will also establish and monitor defined area I/E & C maintenance and reliability metrics and KPIs while ensuring services provided adhere to industry codes and BASF Corporate technical standardsLeveraging the BASF design team to utilize technology best practices and drive highly efficient and effective project I/E & C, you will coordinate with the central Design Department and monitor the progress and quality of project I&E design work executed within the area Manufacturing ClusterYou will be responsible for the overall ownership and management of area I/E & C technical tools and documentation, play a key role in the BASF 4.0 strategy, and be involved in the digitization of existing production units/assetsCreate Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer YouAdding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
