As an Instrument/Electrician, you will be responsible for following applicable ISO 9000 procedures and work instructions, installing and maintaining instrumentation, calibrating instruments, understand and follow plant quality and environmental policies and is aware of the benefits associated with compliance, following all applicable procedures and work instructions and is aware of the consequences of deviating from them, and review and understand Danisco Internet and Email Policy. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:Design and procure instrument and electrical system. Maintain and program DCS equipment. Maintain and program PLCs for master conveyor, centrifuges, Larox, and etc. Assist Storekeeper with ordering and stocking spare parts. Install and maintain electrical motors for 3-phase and single phase system. Install and maintain motor starters and transformers. Install and maintain pneumatic instrumentation, controllers, control valves, transducers, etc. Install conduit and wire. Install pneumatic tubing. Install and maintain HVAC system. Install and maintain plant lighting. Maintain high, medium, and low voltage switchgear. Install and maintain electric heat tracing. Repair solenoid valves and associated piping. Work fair share of overtime and call in. Complete required forms and documents for maintenance systems, safety programs, and ISO 9000. Qualifications:Work with vendors and consultants on troubleshooting, training, or optimization of electrical/instrumentation system. Environmental responsibilities include proper disposal of waste materials to prevent pollution and use of proper safety procedures to reduce employee health risks. Must have completed a 4 year apprenticeship program and/or have 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment. Must be knowledgeable in PLC and programmable controllers. Must have a working knowledge of electronics and electrical systems. Good understanding of the operations of pneumatic controls. Must have a working knowledge of high, medium, and low voltage switchgear and starters. Must be able to program and troubleshoot different types of PLC and distributed control systems.Apply for this job.
