Integrated Field Sciences Co-Op (Union City, TN)
Corteva AgriSciences sponsors avariety of co-ops in agricultural research across many field research centersin North America. These researchcenters house trait development, crop protection and plant breeding researchactivities. Sharing resources across researchgroups facilitates more efficient integrated product development. Thus, Integrated Field Science co-ops atthese research centers will provide the opportunity for candidates to obtaindiverse experiences across these functions responsible for integrated product development. Candidates will work as part of ateam in field plot management, and precision phenotyping tasks associated with traitdevelopment, crop protection, digital ag and plant breeding projects. Co-ops may also assist other IFS FieldScientists also located in the geographic region, but not stationed at theresearch center. Co-ops will alsomanage their own research project with the expectation of a verbal report tothe larger co-op group at Corteva AgriSciences facilities in Johnston, IA. These co-op positions provideexcellent experience that can be applied to full time positions in theindustry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plantsciences. Qualifications:Education and ExperienceCollegeJunior or Senior standing, majoring in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, PlantPathology, Genetics, Biology, Ag Business or a related field. Interest in careers in agricultural researchvaluable. CompetenciesPreviousresearch experience preferred, but not required. Computer skills (Excel, Access, andelectronic data collection) are a plus. Strong communication and interpersonalskills are necessary. Candidate should be able to work independently or with ateam.Apply for this job.
