Integrated Plant Heath Solutions Scientist Intern – #01RWF

An integrated, systems approach to product placement combines understanding of top tier genetics, traits, chemistry, and biological solutions, and farming practices to better enable growers to pick the perfect solution for every acre on their farm. The Product Systems team within Plant Breeding is looking for an intern who will partner with research project leaders at the late-stages of corn and soy breeding pipelines to conduct systems-based trials. Projects focus on characterizing experimental corn and soybean product performance in combination with plant health and disease protection solutions or exposure to environmental sources of risk. Data generated will inform product advancement, deployment and placement decisions. The dates for this internship are May-August of 2019.Qualifications:Required:Must be currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program with current academic status as a junior or above in one of the following disciplines: biological sciences, agricultural sciences, plant pathology, genetics, or biotechnology3.0 or higher cumulative GPAMust have completed college level statistics Experience with R or other statistical toolsValid drivers license???the successful candidate will be required to drive a Monsanto vehicle Detail and results-orientation with the ability to work independentlyStrong organizational, interpersonal and proven problem solving abilities Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, precise and actionable manner Preferred: Experience with field research and experimental designApply for this job.
