Position Summary:This position will manage the creation of the Profitability models for the organization and support the transition of the underlying logic to the Oracle BI Platform.
This position will be the primary individual responsible for all aspects of the model-build process.
Job Responsibilities: Manage the development of profitability models in Excel (PowerPivot), which requires a working knowledge of DAX along with knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionsDevelop detailed, business specific revenue and cost allocation logic using basic accounting principlesMeet with business leads and accounting experts, design allocation logic to meet business specifications, and create and maintain mapping tablesUse Oracle BI knowledge to support the transition of model logic from Excel to BI, as well as to manage the quarterly refresh of both the Excel models and BI modelsLead cross-business initiatives associated with opportunity identification, tracking and reportingOversee the administration of the quarterly BI Profitability Tool process and refresh delivery timelineResponsible for the ongoing support and training of business users, requiring an in depth understanding of the model functionality and business-specific allocation logicProvide support to business units in short and long term strategy development, as it relates to profitabilityOversee the change control process for the BI Profitability ToolResponsible for the consideration and implementation oversite of all new business requests ? additional features, modified logic, etc. Job Requirements: Comfortable managing disparate data sources and manipulating large volumes of transaction and cost dataAbility to troubleshoot and effectively utilize available resources to resolve problemsExpected to complete projects within specified deadlinesAssist with data validation for feeds from AR source systems to the Profitability ToolMinimum of five years? experience in application analysis and designMinimum of five years?
