SUMMARY:The primary purpose of this position is to support the company's public relations efforts. This will entail assisting the Manager of Public Speaking and Event Planning with news releases, position statements and other communications. It will also involve collaboration on public relations planning. Other responsibilities include: assist in the development of news releases on various topics including Tyson Foods donations, new product initiatives and promotions; assist in the development and internal posting of position statements; be part of the effort to establish and maintain positive relationships with reporters who cover Tyson Foods; collaborate and support the communications efforts of certain Tyson Business Units; exploring ways to expand the company's ability to communicate through social media on key issues; assist Tyson Community Relations with food donation event coordination and communications.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Incoming Junior or Senior, Journalism and Communication majors preferred.Experience: Previous work experience in any fieldComputer Skills: Basic computer skills; will require a high volume of writing on Microsoft Word, some PowerPoint presentation development and the ability to edit and maintain photos.Communication Skills: Strong writing and speaking skills and interpersonal relation skills; accuracy in communications.Special Skills: Creativity and the ability to be flexible and use quick judgment.Supervisory: NATravel: NoneTo view a full job description and submit your resume for consideration, click APPLY TO THIS POSITION below and follow the prompts.Apply for this job.
